Stella Irma Chacon

Stella Irma Chacon, 53, of Napa, California, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018, surrounded by her children and family members. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 24,1964. She was the second oldest of her 5 siblings. The family moved to the Napa Valley in the early 70's and lived in Yountville, St Helena, and ultimately settling down in Calistoga. She attended Calistoga schools and graduated in 1982 from Calistoga High School. She settled down with her children in Napa, CA where she lived for the last 20+years. Stella attended Napa Junior College and worked at Calistoga Convalescent Home and Veterans Home of Yountville as a CNA for many years. She was very good with numbers, thus, preparing Income Taxes for many friends and family members throughout the years. She thoroughly enjoyed growing up on the ranch in Calistoga, those that were close to her remember all the mischief she got into with her siblings, cousins, and neighbors including: finding snakes, discovering new caves in the mountains, learning to drive in mom's old car, going fishing, walking to school because she slept in, and helping in the field with Dad to make some extra money. One of Stella's favorite pastimes was enjoying NASCAR, she enjoyed coloring, crossword puzzles, going to Casinos, doing her nails, making sure her hair was dyed the right color, collecting antiques & old coins, playing Solitary, Bingo, playing video games, researching her family Genealogy and spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her parents; Jesus & Mary Lopez of Kelseyville, CA, her children; Ruben Lopez(Anabel), Albino Lopez(Sara), & Virginia Hangman(Aaron), grandchildren; Stephanie Lopez, Alexis, Zachary, Olivia, Pierce, & Stella Lopez, Alizeya and Aaron Jr. Hangman. Her siblings; Leticia Lopez of Napa, Ca, Albino Chacon(Maricela) of Moorpark, CA, Christina Avina(Daniel) of Calistoga, CA & Teresa Brandy(Richard) of Richmond, CA. Nieces and Nephews; Sammy, Jessica, & Gaby Rodriguez, Jessica, Juliana & David Chacon, Danny, Arianna, & Alex Avina, & Jesus Herrera, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and a circle of many close friends. Services will be held as follows: Viewing at Claffey & Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St, Napa, CA, Monday March 19th at 4pm with a rosary following at 7pm, Catholic Mass Tuesday March 20th at 11:00 am at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen St, Napa, CA, immediately followed by interment at Tulocay Cemetery 411 Coombsville Rd. Napa, CA.
