Jack Zeller

John “Jack” Bruce Zeller, a remarkable man whose life touched countless hearts, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, at the age of 94, from natural causes. Born in Napa, California, to Hugo and Virginia Zeller, Jack was the cherished sibling of Bob and Mary Zeller. His childhood was filled with love and laughter as he spent time with his family in the beautiful Napa Valley and in Lake County, where he shared countless fond memories with his siblings and a large, loving extended family. Jack’s zest for life was evident in everything he did. Whether it was playing basketball with friends, enjoying precious moments with his family, or mastering the game of bridge, Jack approached life with enthusiasm and joy. As an accomplished master bridge player, he earned respect and admiration from all who played alongside him. He graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Santa Clara, after which he bravely served in the Korean War. Upon his return, Jack went on to establish Zeller’s Hardware, a family business that he ran with pride for nearly 40 years. But beyond his professional success, Jack’s true legacy lies in the incredible kindness, humility, and selflessness that he showed to everyone he met. He was the epitome of a generous soul, always willing to lend a hand, offer support, and make those around him feel valued. In his life, Jack found his greatest joy in his beloved wife, Nadine Nuccion, whom he married and spent decades building a life full of love and happiness. Together, they raised three children—John, Carin, and Greg—and their bond as a family was unbreakable. Jack was deeply devoted to his children and their families, and his love for them knew no bounds. He was predeceased by his wife Nadine and son Greg, who remain forever in his heart. Jack is survived by his two loving children, John and Carin, along with John’s wife, Maureen Zeller and his four grandchildren, Jonathon Zeller, Mckenna Cartt, Arlo Cartt and Tyler Lobao. His memory and the impact he made on this world will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His absence leaves a void, but his spirit and legacy will remain with us forever. A funeral mass will be held on April 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church in Napa, followed by a reception in the church hall, and burial at Tulocay Cemetery. Jack will be greatly missed, but his memory will be cherished, and his legacy will endure.
