Nadine Germaine Zeller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nadine Germaine Zeller died Sept. 13, 2010, in Napa. She was 72. Nadine was born in Napa to Peter and Germaine Nuccion on March 23, 1938. She attended local schools and graduated from Napa High in 1956. She attended Napa Junior College, and spent a year at Holy Names in Oakland. She graduated from Sacramento State University with her teaching credential. She attended Sonoma State University and obtained her special education teaching credential. Mrs. Zeller taught at D.T. Davis and St. Apollinaris, and worked at Napa Valley Superintendent of Schools as a special education teacher. She helped design an award-winning curriculum. She retired from teaching in 1987. Nadine helped start the farmers market in Napa, and was a member of the Sign Code Committee for the city of Napa. She was a graduate of Leadership Napa Valley and a member of YLI. She often made baskets for charity and assisted many people with floral arrangements. Mrs. Zeller is survived by her husband, Jack Zeller of Napa; son, John (Maureen) Zeller of Bell Canyon, Calif.; daughter, Carin (Steve) Cartt of San Carlos, Calif.; and grandchildren, Serena, McKenna and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Zeller. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greg Zeller Scholarship Fund at St. Apollinaris or Hospice of Napa Valley. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church. Entombment will take place at Tulocay Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Claffey and Rota Funeral Home.
