Milton Lloyd Totman

October 1, 1926 - February 3, 2018

Our Dad Milt was part of the greatest generation. He was born on Oct.1 1926 in Sebastopol California to Leslie and Jennie Totman. This was a family of many boys Ed, Les, Stan, Leland, Richard, Jack and one beloved sister Jannette. Jannette would say there wasn’t a bad one in the bunch. Milt had many fun adventures growing up in a small town. Nothing to outrageous because his father was also the town constable. Milt along with his brother Ed, Les and Stan served during WWll Dad was stationed in the Pacific on various islands in Japan one being Iwo Jima. Dad married our mother Rose in 1957 in Sebastopol they were Married for 57 years until her passing In 2014. Soon we kids joined the family. Joan, Nancy and Andrew. We all moved to Napa in 1963. He had many wonderful neighbors and friends. The family grew again with the addition of loving son-in-law David Lent of Folsom And Daughter-in-law Jenny of Sydney, Australia. Dad loved cars and working on cars his whole life. He owned and operated Totman’s Texaco in Napa, know as the place to get trusted service and a smile. He volunteered his sporting talents at West Park elementary as coach and his mechanical skills with Hidden Valley 4-H and Napa High ROP programs. Upon becoming a Grandpa “Gramps” he loved hanging out with the grandkids Paige, Megan and Tony. They built playhouses, dug holes, planted gardens and many other fun things together. During Retirement dad worked on restoring his 1928 Model A. He loved taking the car to shows around town. His favorite being the annual Yountville Fathers Day Car Show. His joy was having the kids listen to the old fashioned car horn. Dads favorite place to go everyday was McDonalds on Jefferson. He and the gang hung out there every morning. The best group you will ever meet. They had birthday parties and Christmas exchange for years. A celebration of his life will be held at Tulocay Cemetery reception room on February 12 at 12:00pm. In memory of our dad tell your favorite story to a friend share a laugh and a cup of coffee.
