Michael Tselentis
January 12, 2015
Mike peacefully passed away in his sleep on Jan. 12. He was a man of the world: born in Greece, he fought with the Allied Forces in the Korean War, then immigrated to Brazil, and years later, to the United States. He traveled to all 50 states and to many other countries. One of his great passions was running. After he had run over one hundred marathons, he started competing in ultra-races (races longer than 26 miles), some of them lasting over 6 days. One of his favorite races was the Quadruple Dipsea in Marin. Mike was the owner of Napa Gem Jewelry Co. Mike is survived by his wife, Lois, whom he met and married in Honolulu, Hawaii. They moved to Napa in 1980, where they raised their daughters, Emily and Nicole. Emily is married to Doug Dewid and they have two sons, Sean and Seeley. Nicole is married to her college sweetheart from Stanford, Mark Bekheit. Mike is also survived by his two daughters from a previous marriage: Carol and her husband, Peter Paoa, children Duke, Chantelle and Michael, and Marcia Sophia Tselentis, and her son, Alexander Rafiee. The family would like to thank Kam and her staff at Greenhills, for all their wonderful care given Mike in his last days. A private service was held at Rota Mortuary and burial was at Tulocay Cemetery.
