Maria Dolores Castro Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Maria Dolores Castro passed away peacefully at home on November 7 at 7 p.m. surrounded by her children and some of her 65 grandchildren. The lord allowed her to remain on this earth for 97 years and is survived by her children Josefina Lopez de Rios (Heriberto Rios), Maria Guadalupe Lopez de Mendez (Federico Mendez), Jesus Lopez (Mary Lopez) Esperanza Lopez de Servin (Javier Servin), Maria Isabel Lopez de Espinoza (Francisco Espinoza), Miguel Lopez (Francisca Vaca De Lopez), Socorro Lopez de Vaca (Luis Vaca), Maria De La Luz Lopez de Ochoa (Sergio Ochoa), Cecilia Lopez Cortez, Jose Luis Lopez (Teresa Llamas de Lopez), Ramon Lopez, Carmen Lopez de Gonzalez (Eduardo Gonzalez), Enrique Lopez (Rosaura Segura); by approximately 100 great grandchildren and approximately 15 great great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her husband Salvador Lopez and her son Salvador Lopez Castro (Maria Ortiz De Lopez) and other children. She lived an amazing life and was a very strong role model for all of her descendents because she raised her children as a single parent since she became a widow; She was loved, respected and admired by all of her descendents and people who knew her and lovingly referred to her as Mama Lola, Tia Lola or Dona Lola. She will be missed but we will always be thankful that she was allowed to remain with us for so long. Rest in Peace Mama Lola. The Rosary service will be held on Thursday, November 14 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Helena Catholic Church with the Funeral Mass on Friday, November 15 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Helena Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in St. Helena.
