Frank G. Amador

Frank G. Amador passed away in at the home of his daughter in San Jose, Calif., on Oct. 18, 2013. He was born in Poth, Texas, on Aug. 21, 1922. Frank came to Napa during World War II. He worked as a construction laborer, then in 1960, he went to work at Kaiser Steel. He worked as a laborer and then became a sandblaster and painter. He retired from Kaiser in 1984, but continued living in Napa until 1996, when he moved to San Jose to be with his son and daughter. He was predeceased by his wife, Petra (1996), and two brothers. He is survived by his two sons, Frank W. Amador of San Jose, and Raymond Amador of Napa; daughters, Esther Hyder of Napa, and Eloise Salibian of San Jose; and three sisters, Alice Marquez of Paso Robles, Calif., Lupe Cruz of Kerman, Calif., and Vera Cruz of Fresno, Calif. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Christina McMillan, Laura Amador, Alex Amador and Andrew Amador Corrales. The funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church in Napa. Condolences to the family may be left at ClaffeyandRota.com.
