Eleanor "Nora" Ruscio Cocke

June 30, 1936 - May 31, 2017

Eleanor “Nora” Ruscio Cocke, our beloved mother, grandmother, wife and sister, passed away peacefully to be with our loving God on May 31, 2017. She was born on June 30, 1936 to Carl and Frances Ruscio in Denver, Colorado. In 1942 her family set out for Vallejo, California, shortly thereafter they moved to Napa. Eleanor graduated from Napa High in 1955 and was married in 1957, they had two wonderful children. During her young adult life she traveled, lived on the east coast, to southern California, San Francisco and eventually returned to Napa in 1971. In 1979 she married her love, William Cocke, together they built a strong well respected building construction company in the Napa Valley. In her spare time with Bill, they would travel in their RV across this country, visit family in Oklahoma and Minnesota, see many of our national treasures with friends, square dance and help care for their grandsons. Throughout the course of her life she had many jobs, skills and talents, but she was best known for her 9 years of work at Family Drug as a sales clerk, and being a proud and loving grandmother. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Bill Cocke; her daughter, Kristy and her husband John Reynoso and their three sons, Robert, Nicholas and Nathan; her son Erin Ruscio and his wife Michelle and their son, Carl; her step-son, Tom Cocke and his wife Denise and their four children, Josh, Justin, Tyson and Kaylee; and her step-daughter Pamela and her husband, Richard Boatright and their three sons, Shane, Christopher and Caleb; lastly her sister, Rosalie Stearns, and brothers, Tony and Gilbert Martinez. In lieu of flowers and plants please make a donation for Parkinson’s research. Rosary is Monday 6/5 at 7:00pm at Claffey and Rota; funeral services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Tuesday, 6/6 at 1:00pm.
