Alice Gould

Alice was born February 11, 1920 in Foley, MN to Gilbert and Kristine (Sorenson) Holter. Alice was educated in Minnesota. In 1939 she married Earl Brambrink and they moved to the Napa Valley. Alice worked as an accountant and bookkeeper at the California Veterans Home of Yountville for 20 years. After retiring in 1968, she married Col. Lloyd Gould, M.D. They spent many wonderful years together traveling and enjoying family. Alice will be remembered for her friendly spirit, her outgoing manner, her sense of humor, and her love for family. Alice is survived by her two sons and one daughter: Allen Brambrink and his wife Sandy of Napa; Gary Brambrink of Kettle Falls, WA; and Diana Brambrink and her husband Larry Levy of Seattle, WA. Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive her. Alice has four surviving siblings; three sisters, Esther Schendziolos of Clear Lake, MN; Doris Harpuder of Yuma, AZ; Muriel Armstrong of Minneapolis, MN; and one brother Selmer Holter of Foley, MN and a number of nieces and nephews. Alice is preceded in death by her husbands Earl Brambrink and Lloyd Gould M.D., four sisters, Hilda Pope, Gladys Moore, Eileen Wilke and Lila Schindler, and one brother Desmond Holter. A private internment will take place at the Presidio in the San Francisco National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband Dr. Lloyd Gould. Memorial contributions can be made to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
